Proper ant treatment is a year-round process in Southern California. With our wonderful climate, ants are always a factor. To set up the best control, our technicians inventory your landscaping to determine plants and trees that will provide food for the insects that draw ants to your property.

In the winter, we go after these outdoor food sources by spraying a dormant oil treatment on trees that kills insect eggs. Two treatments will greatly eliminate the homopterous (plant-sucking) insect population which provides "honeydew" for the ants. Our technicians also spray the entire grounds during the spring when new ant colonies are being established. During the spring, when your plants are not as stressed, we spray plants, shrubs, and small trees to also control the insect population.

In addition, to keep ants from entering your home, we use a treatment which is sprayed around the perimeter of your foundations, as well as door frames, window casings, and eaves. Ants cannot detect this treatment--they walk through this special formula and then carry it back to the nest, where it will eventually kill off the entire colony. Corky's technicians also search your entire property for satellite colonies, and use probes and/or granular treatments to destroy them.
